3D Anaglyph - Medieval Tile

3d Anaglyph of a Medieval Tile

Medieval Tile

Tiles were sometimes used as a floor covering. They were expensive to make and only the wealthy could afford them.

They were made by pressing clay into a wooden mould and after drying they were glazed and fired in a kiln. Alternatively the pattern could be produced by using different colours of clay.
