Diplodocus

Diplodocus was one of the giants of the Jurassic, being one of the biggest and longest animals ever known. It was a herbivore that moved around slowly on four large legs, browsing vegetation in areas inaccessible to other sauropods by using its long neck.

Triceratops - A Ceratopsian from the Cretaceous Period

A very simple model of a Sauropod's long neck.

Drag the green handle to the right to pull the muscles tight.

In reality an animal would have more individual control over each muscle and would be far more precise in moving its head around.
